Charles and Ray Eames experiments with fiberglass seating revolutionized mass-produced chair design. From one basic shell, Eames designed a whole series of shapes and variations. The modern re-editions are made from recyclable polypropylene, keeping the design at the forefront of technology. The Eiffel DSR chair, with a welded chrome base, uses rubber shock mounts to connect the seat and base resulting in a seat that remains comfortable even over long periods of time.
